Zoom®! Advanced Power
Your smile is important. It's one of the first things you notice when you
meet someone.
A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful - it can help you feel better about
yourself andmake a memorable impression.
Teeth whitening is a procedure many people take when they discover their
teeth have been discolored due to aging, medications, chemicals or stained by
food, especially colored food, and beverages such as coffee, tea, wine and
certain soft drinks.
Teeth whitening is able to correct certain forms of brown, yellow and mottled
tooth staining and works on people of all ages. It is a good option in restoring
brightness in a "dull" smile and bringing a smile alive.

the original Zoom System.
Dental crowns are often called "dental caps" which cover and encase the tooth
on which they are cemented. Since dental crowns cover over the entire visible
aspect of a tooth, a dental crown, if effective, becomes the tooth's new
outer surface.
Dental crowns are a means to rebuild broken and decayed teeth to
their original shape. Dental crowns are a way to strengthen teeth and a procedure
by which the cosmetic appearance of teeth can be improved.
Dental crowns can be made of porcelain, precious alloys (gold), or
a combination of both. An all ceramic crown can offer better color,
translucency and appearance.
A bridge is used to replace one or more natural missing teeth, thereby bridging
the space between two teeth. A dental bridge is a false tooth, known as a pontic,
which is fused between two dental crowns to fill in the area left by
a missing tooth. The two crowns on the adjacent supporting teeth of
the missing gaps are attached and holds it in place onto your teeth on each side
of the pontic tooth.
Dental bridges, similar to dental crowns, can be made of porcelain,
precious alloys (gold), or a combination of both. A complete ceramic bridge
may be done on anterior teeth that offer good natural esthetics.
- Veneer
Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain wafer pieces placed over the front teeth
to change color shade of the teeth.
It is common for people to have imperfect teeth either oddly shaped teeth,
chipped teeth, crooked teeth, teeth with small holes in them, or an inappropriate
sized tooth. Veneers are ideal for teeth that are too small, too big, or have
uneven surfaces. Porcelain veneers solve such irregularities and create a durable
and pleasing smile.
Material developments and layering techniques have made porcelain veneers look
natural and esthetically pleasing.
An inlay is similar to a filling and is used inside the cusp tips of the tooth.
An onlay is a more substantial reconstruction which is similar to the inlay but
extending out over one or more of the cusps of the tooth.
Inlay and Onlay can be made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin. Porcelain
inlays mimic enamel's translucency and color, making them attractive choices
for patients. Gold alloy inlay and onlay possess greater durability and
better resist tarnishing and corrosion.
- Dental Fillings
Most minor cavities are usually treated by removing decay in teeth and
replaced with dental fillings.
There are two basic types of dental fillings used:
- Traditional Amalgam Fillings
Amalgam filling (silver) restoration was commonly used in the past. Metal fillings
were effective, but tend to blacken in color over time. Some amalgam fillings
contain mercury and its safety has been in question for a number of years.
Therefore amalgam fillings are now easily removed and commonly
replaced with composite resin dental filling.
- Composite Resin Fillings are tooth-colored fillings that can be matched
with natural tooth color shades. These tooth-colored fillings are strong,
durable and give good natural esthetic results. They are made of plastic
dental resin. Composite resin has no known health risks.
Since they can be matched with natural tooth color shades, composite resin
or tooth-colored fillings are normally done for better esthetics. With today's
advancement in techniques and technologies, many individuals now replace
existing amalgam fillings with composite resin fillings for better esthetics.
